E ora qualcosa di completamente diverso (film di Ian MacNaughton del 1971)

E ORA QUALCOSA DI COMPLETAMENTE DIVERSO è il debutto cinematografico del celebre gruppo dei Monty Python, formato rispettivamente da John Cleese, Michael Palin, Eric Idle, Terry Jones, Graham Chapman e Terry Gilliam, accompagnati dalla loro storica partner femminile Carol Cleveland.

Il film è semplicemente un’antologia dei loro sketch più famosi rigirati per l’occasione in formato cinematografico per tentare di farli conoscere prevalentemente negli Stati Uniti, dato che nella nativa Inghilterra i sei erano già dei celebratissimi idoli grazie allo storico programma della BBC campione di ascolti Monty Python Flying Circus. Il titolo infatti rimanda alla famosa battuta, quasi sempre recitata da John Cleese, che faceva da raccordo tra le varie scenette proposte.

Per chi conosce la comicità surreale e spiazzante dei Python non c’è quasi nulla di nuovo. È tuttavia divertente rivedere degli sketch d’antologia quali Come non essere visti, Il consulente matrimoniale, Autodifesa contro frutta fresca, Le due cime del Kilimangiaro, La barzelletta più divertente del mondo, Il pappagallo morto, La forchetta sporca, Il consulente professionale e Il borghese più imbecille dell’anno.

Per quanto riguarda la versione italiana, il primo doppiaggio è stato realizzato quasi un ventennio dopo nel 1990 ed il film non venne mai distribuito, segno che il gruppo inglese non aveva mai fatto breccia nel nostro paese. Tuttavia le voci scelte comprendono grandi professionisti come Mario Cordova, Edoardo Nevola e Giorgio Lopez. In quel periodo il gruppo non esisteva già più però la popolarità in particolare di John Cleese e Michael Palin era cresciuta nel nostro paese grazie al successo del film UN PESCE DI NOME WANDA, e probabilmente da lì cominciò l’opera di recupero della cinematografia dei Python, che comprende altri 3 importanti titoli.
