Diario di un vizio (film di Marco Ferreri del 1993)

DIARIO DI UN VIZIO è il penultimo film diretto da Marco Ferreri nel 1993. Di breve durata, meno di 90′, vede Jerry Calà protagonista nel ruolo di Benito Balducci, venditore di detersivi, il quale ha sognato vanamente di diventare un professore in filosofia. La sua peculiarità è quella di appuntare su un diario con foto e ritagli la sua modesta quotidianità mettendo in risalto finanche le sfumature, come la quantità di sigarette fumate, la propria debolezza sessuale, le patologie che lo affliggono e il cibo consumato. Non riesce a godersi nemmeno la bella fidanzata Luigia, interpretata dalla sensuale e talentuosa Sabrina Ferilli, con la quale litiga continuamente a causa delle infedeltà della donna, incline a concedersi ad alcuni spasimanti. Un giorno Balducci sparisce nel nulla, lasciando come unica traccia di sé il suo discutibile diario.

Mi preme sottolineare come il film pone in evidenza un Calà impegnato in un ruolo profondo e struggente, cinque anni dopo quello affidatogli da Pupi Avati in SPOSI, nel contesto di una filmografia leggera anche se di ottimo intrattenimento. Peccato solo che non ripeterà più ruoli intensi come quello affidatogli da Ferreri, mentre la collega Ferilli arriverà ad essere una delle attrici più importanti del cinema contemporaneo e altre due, Jessica Rizzo e Manuela Arcuri, allora sconosciute avrebbero fatto carriera la prima nel porno e la seconda in ruoli importanti in cinema e TV.

Pur avendo una sceneggiatura a tratti onirica, diario di un vizio è un film sincero che ritrae con veridicità la vita sfilacciata di un uomo dimesso senza fiducia in sé stesso, che usa un espediente per convincersi di poter andar avanti. Aggiungo inoltre che il regista milanese fu bravo a mettere in evidenza la mancanza di affetti del protagonista, cosa che mi fa pensare ad un possibile suicidio di Benito. Sarò l’unico a pensarlo?
