I 70 anni di Claudio Baglioni

Claudio Baglioni ha compiuto oggi 70 anni. Quasi banale scrivere della sua importanza nella storia della musica: 60 milioni di dischi venduti e La vita è adesso con 4 milioni di copie è l’album italiano di maggior successo, con 27 settimane consecutive al primo posto nella Superclassifica italiana di TV Sorrisi e Canzoni.

Nella sua carriera si è esibito in oltre 2000 concerti: nella notte del passaggio di millennio (1999-2000) ha tenuto un grande concerto, l’unico di musica popolare mai avvenuto in piazza San Pietro davanti oltre 300.000 persone e a papa Giovanni Paolo ll.

Nel settembre del 2006 secondo artista al mondo e primo italiano, ha tenuto un concerto all’emiciclo del Parlamento europeo a Bruxelles.

Nel 2003 ha vinto il Premio Lunezia per il valore musical-letterario dell’album Sono io- L’uomo della storia accanto e per il brano Mille giorni di te e di me (menzione antologica).

Ha vinto due Festivalbar, otto Vota la voce e otto Wind Music Awards. Nel1985 durante la 35esima edizione del Festival di Sanremo la sua Questo piccolo grande amore fu eletta “Canzone del secolo”.

All’estero è conosciuto soprattutto in Spagna avendo pubblicato buona parte del suo repertorio in lingua spagnola per il mercato iberico e sudamericano. Inizialmente conosciuto come cantante melodico, in seguito si è reso protagonista di una continua evoluzione musicale, raggiungendo un’estensione vocale di 3 ottave arrivando fino a 3 ottave e mezzo.

Dando una tesi sul gasometro di Roma, Baglioni ottenne il titolo di studio presso la facoltà di architettura Valle Giulia di Roma con il voto di 108/110. Dopo un lungo matrimonio con Paola Massari che lo ha reso padre di Giovanni, divenuto a sua volta un chitarrista fingerstyle di buona notorietà, si è legato sentimentalmente a Rossella Barattolo sua collaboratrice nata a Taranto il 7 Aprile 1958. I due non hanno figli.
